Meh...

I found the soundfont pretty convincing, but the music less than entrancing. The track seriously needs more pervasive counterpoint, and far less repetition. Also, I think some kind of figure in the lower strings would round it out. I found the parts rather clashed in places during the repeated bit. The theme is alright, in a Bach-ish type way, but it is boring without any interesting accompaniment.

Just tips, these. Don't be discouraged on my account.

Neat

For a first submission, I found it awesome. Concordantly, it was groovalicious at times. Makes me think of some underground cave level from an old game. Don't stop writing music unless someone puts a gun to your head....or....if, um....let's see.....yeah.

Cool.

Gorthus responds:

Yeah, I don't expect to be leaving the music biz now that I have a job at a venue in Philly.....let's see.....yeah.

Meh

Sounds like you just revoiced a MIDI and put some kind of early 60s drum track behind it. I think arpeggios in both hands would have been cool, or at the very least a different beat somewhere in there. Even a fill on the drums would have been a relief.

XBrav responds:

I actually did write the tracks in this one, but yeah I think I'm losing my touch...

Not You

The Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite pieces, but your re-voicing was entirely unoriginal. To cut and paste the work of an old master and revoice it, calling it your own, is reflective of your lack of willpower. I would humbly ask you to sit back, relax, and produce something of your own. Don't be afraid.

SharkStein responds:

I know this may be unoriginal but i'm submitting every music i ever done from i big map i have on my PC and the bad luck was that Moonlight was the 1st music i ever done. But thanks your review really helped me out 4 the future !

Hmmm....

Janky stuff. Not really a song, but could be used easily in a Flash.

Yeeeeeah.

Starts off real nice, gets a little heavy in middle. Needs to stick with the horns, go to a B part.

Audio-Star responds:

It was one of my first composings, if you further listen to my music, you'll notice a B section, you helped me realize this quite a bit.

Hmmm....

Hardly classical, but a good song. It's more easy listening meets boogie woogie.

Audio-Star responds:

Heh, I call classical a piano. Jk

What should I have put this in then?

Meh.

I think you should loop the other parts as well. There's a neat little menuet-type-thing that comes right after that part.
