Piano Man

"No audio credit = badness"

submission: Piano Man
date: December 15, 2006

I want to know who did the opening music "Where There's a Whip, There's a Way". There aren't any audio credits. That sucks ass, especially since I'm a musician myself. Free, good music is a good thing, but free, good, uncredited music is just shit.

The animation was alright, except one point where the music is in the low register and the player's right hand is at the top of the keyboard. I'm sure even 'normies' would notice that.

Author's Response:

I put what movie I got it from in the credits but was to lazy to actually dig up the dudes name.

I don't know if the song actually ever received a name but it was made by Maury Laws and Bernard Hoffer.

Hey, thanks for using Choral Cue. It's a good piece. It's gratifying to know people like my stuff. If you need anything medievalish for the second part, just send me a note at a_sly_shrew@hotmail . Cool Flash, by the way. Grins for Queen and Psycho. Also, I thought you used my piece pretty well, especially when Orion is being all "Remember me". Peace.

Thanks a lot for using my music. I was hoping for somebody to use Pizzicato Boredom eventually. It has never failed to make me happy and excited to see a my stuff implemented in any kind of flash work. The flash itself is pretty good. It's hard to go wrong with madlibs. Unless you momentarily forget what an adverb is and think your form is going to be erased if you go to check. That's poo. Good work, anyway. Keep it up.

Author's Response:

When I first heard the music, I thoought "I have to use it." Thank you for posting it.

Thanks a lot for using my music. It makes my day to hear 'Sad Circus' in a flash, knowing it will be heard by lots of people. I wasn't very good at the game, but I'm generally not good at mouse-type-games. Maybe it's just because I was excited. Anyway, thanks again.

Author's Response:

yeh no worries. makes my day to have such good music easily available!

A mind bender. I have never done drugs, but I think I have a pretty good idea how it feels after watching your movie.

Thank you one million times for using my Reggae No. 1. It made my day when I looked through and saw "Used in 1 Submission". I actually did a double-take and then threw my head back and laughed at the ceiling. Oh, good flash, too. I was glad I got the weird guy. Music wise, that is.

Author's Response:

:)

Glad to make your day!

If...

This movie is obviously well done, and commendable for its graphics. That aside, I found it utterly humorless, and it suffers for that. I don't believe that there's any emotion that does not benefit from a bit of humor. I've always been a bit put off by the comparison of love and bleeding. It's good that people feel love strongly enough that they might die for someone else, but expressing things that way rather takes away from the vitality of the emotion.

Whoa, dude. Whoa.
That was awesome. It was disturbing like the old The Twilight Zone was disturbing. You aren't sure exactly what's going to happen until it does. And that's hard to pull off.

Bastardized attempt at Saladfingers, but without Firth's creativity or delicious twistedness. None of these images will stick with me, the way certain actions or expressions of Saladfingers' surely will.
